Group Trip Resort Near Dhaka: Friends, Family and Reunions in the Forest
Getting eight or ten people out of Dhaka together is its own logistics problem. Somebody wants a pool, somebody wants quiet, somebody is counting taka. Arshinagar solves most of it by being an hour away and by having space designed for groups rather than for couples who happen to bring friends.
Why groups end up here
Most resorts near Dhaka price and design for two. A group of ten gets split across five rooms in three corners of a property, and the trip becomes a series of phone calls about where everyone is. At Arshinagar the group options are actual group options: a Group Bungalow that puts up to ten people in one private unit, cottages that sleep six, and a two-story Emerald Suite that holds ten on its own.
The other half of it is that nothing here needs booking or scheduling. The swimming pool, the lake and boats, the fishing, the indoor games room and the playground are simply open. A group of adults and a group of children can want completely different days and both get them without anyone organising an itinerary.
Matching your headcount to a room
The quickest way to think about it:
- Five to six people: one SkyView Cottage. All three cottage tiers hold up to six, so the choice is really about whether you want a private bathtub or an open-air forest shower.
- Eight to ten people, one budget: the Group Bungalow. Two paired rooms forming a private unit, and per head it is the best value on the property.
- Eight to ten people, one special occasion: the Emerald Suite. A two-story suite with a double forest-view bathtub, a SkyView window and a private balcony. More expensive, and the reason people book it for milestone birthdays.

Staying the night vs. coming for the day
Group bookings split fairly cleanly into two shapes. An overnight stay gives you the evening, which is where group trips actually happen: dinner at Forest Dine, the forest going quiet, nobody driving home. A daylong group package runs 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, includes breakfast, lunch and evening snacks, and is priced per person, which makes it far easier to split a bill across a large group.

How group pricing works
Group rates at Arshinagar are quoted per person rather than per room, with a minimum headcount for each option, and extra guests beyond that minimum charged individually. Bed & Breakfast and Full Board are both available, Full Board adding lunch and dinner to the stay.
Rates move with the season and with the day of the week, so rather than print numbers here that will be wrong in two months, the current group pricing lives on our packages page, and any discount running right now is on the offers page. Midweek is consistently cheaper than the weekend, which matters more for a group of ten than for a couple.
Practical things worth knowing
- Children: under five stay free on existing bedding, five to ten are charged at half rate. For family reunions this changes the maths considerably.
- Food: you can add Full Board to a stay, or simply order from the Forest Dine menu as you go. Larger groups generally find Full Board simpler.
- Getting there: about an hour from Dhaka. For a group travelling in convoy, the route guide is worth sending round in advance.
- Booking: group bookings are quoted directly rather than through the online engine, because the right answer depends on your headcount. Send us the number of people and the date and we will come back with options.
The short version
If you are five or six, book a cottage. If you are eight to ten and splitting costs, book the Group Bungalow. If you are eight to ten and celebrating, book the Emerald Suite. If you are coming for the day, ask about the per-person group daylong. And if you can move the trip to a weekday, do, because the same forest costs less from Sunday to Wednesday.
