Destination Wedding Venue Near Dhaka: The Arshinagar Resort Buyout
Most wedding venues near Dhaka sell you a hall for six hours. You arrive, you decorate around someone else's schedule, and you are out before the next booking walks in. A destination wedding works differently. You are not renting a room. You are taking over a place.
What a resort buyout actually means
At Arshinagar we sell the entire resort for weddings. Not a banquet wing, not a lawn with a partition. The whole property: sixteen rooms and SkyView hillside cottages, the Emerald Suite, the Forest Dine restaurant, the swimming pool, the lake, the boats, the lawns and the sal forest they all sit inside.
For the length of your booking, nobody else checks in. There are no other guests at the pool, no strangers walking past the holud stage, no unfamiliar faces in the restaurant at breakfast. Families ask for this constantly and very few venues near Dhaka can genuinely offer it, because most of them cannot afford to close.
Full details and what is included are on the packages page.
Why privacy is the whole point
Bangladeshi weddings are not quiet, and they are not short. There is a holud, a mehendi, an akd, a reception, and in between all of it there are aunts who need somewhere to sit down, cousins running loose, and a bride who would quite like one hour to herself. A shared venue gives you none of that. A private one gives you all of it at once.
The practical version of privacy is this: your decorator can start at six in the morning instead of waiting for a slot. Your caterer is our kitchen, so nobody is negotiating access. Your music can run without a neighbouring party competing. And when the event ends, your family does not drive home at midnight. They walk to their rooms.
Capacity, rooms and the honeymoon suite
The grounds hold up to 500 guests on the event day. Overnight, the property sleeps your immediate family and closest guests across sixteen rooms and hillside cottages, ranging from the Eco Room through to the Premium SkyView Cottage.
The Emerald Suite becomes the honeymoon suite. It is a private two-story cottage with a double forest-view bathtub, a SkyView window and a balcony over the lake, which is a considerably better first night than a hotel room with a rose petal arrangement on the bed.
Getting your guests there
Arshinagar is in Pajulia, Joydebpur, Gazipur: about 27 km by road from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, roughly an hour along the Dhaka to Gazipur BRT corridor. For families with relatives flying in from abroad, that matters more than it sounds. Guests can land in the morning and be at the resort before lunch, without a night in a city hotel first. We can arrange airport pickup on request.
Guests driving from Uttara are looking at roughly 26 km. There is more on the route in our guide to reaching Arshinagar from Dhaka.
The forest as your backdrop
Wedding photography near Dhaka usually means finding a wall that does not have a generator in front of it. Here the backdrop is already built: a sal forest, a hillside, a lake with boats on it, and light that comes through a canopy instead of a ballroom ceiling. Winter weddings from November through February get the clearest weather; the seasonal guide covers the rest of the year.
What it costs
We do not publish a wedding rate card, because no two weddings are the same size or the same shape. A 500-guest reception with three days of events and a 120-guest one-night akd are different bookings and pricing them off one number would be dishonest. Send us your date and an approximate guest count and we will come back with a full proposal, usually the same day.
Minimum booking for a buyout is one night. Cancellation and date change terms for group bookings are on the guest policies page.
