Best time to visit Arshinagar Resort: a season-by-season guide

Gazipur's sal forest changes character through the year, and so does a stay at Arshinagar. Here's what to expect in each season, so you can pick the weekend that suits the trip you actually want.

Winter (November to February)

The most popular season for a reason: cool mornings, clear skies, and the forest at its most comfortable for walking trails and lounging by the pool between dips. This is also the busiest window, so booking a room well ahead of a weekend or holiday matters.

Monsoon (June to September)

The canopy turns deep green and the pond fills, and there's a particular calm to watching rain move through the trees from a private balcony. Bring an umbrella for the walk between the room and Forest Dine, and lean on the indoor games room if a downpour runs long. Quieter than winter, with easier availability.

Summer (March to May)

Warmer days make the swimming pool and the shaded forest trails the main draw; early check-in and late check-out both help you dodge the midday heat. Evenings cool down quickly once the sun drops behind the tree line.

Holidays and long weekends

Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha, Bengali New Year and other national holidays bring the highest demand of the year, and different cancellation and advance-payment terms apply during these periods (see our guest policies). If your dates are flexible, the weekend just before or after a public holiday is usually quieter and easier to book.

Our take

If you want the classic Arshinagar weekend, winter delivers it most reliably. If you want the forest at its most atmospheric and don't mind a little rain, monsoon is the season regulars quietly prefer.
